InnovaKids was founded and established by Kunjan Chauhan and Eva Ott. The motivation behind InnovaKids recognizes the boundless energy and creative talent of young people and the challenges that they will uniquely inherit as they take their place the world.
We live in a world that is witnessing a relentless acceleration in the development of new technologies. Never in human history has science and technology moved ahead with so much speed. A key driver that enables this is information technology. The ability to write programs or to think logically and with clarity, gives a person a credible advantage in the world.
Yet another phenomenon is the repackaging of science and research into mass consumer objects that one can buy and reconfigure into new services and products. The free or easy availability of artificial intelligence engines, big data, reusable program fragments together with the ability to e‐buy chemical reagents or micro‐motors for instance, means that it is now possible for ordinary citizens to carry out interesting experiments in their backyards and to deliver new solutions to problems faced by society.
The possibilities are endless. From medtech to microtech to socialtech to economic challenges, solutions are increasingly propping up from young teenage entrepreneurs around the world.
Switzerland, stands unique within this nexus. It has an amazingly high concentration of world class universities and colleges in the world as well as a proven track record in technologies of all kinds.
InnovaKids seeks to give children an opportunity to explore this wonderful and exciting world of technology and science. We do this by constantly updating our workshops and developing new ones that expose young elastic minds to new paradigms of intelligence and inquiry. Our workshops focus on computational subjects and innovation as well as essential skills in teamwork, listening, communicating and organizing.
As a non-profit association, we seek to reach out to as many children regardless of social or financial standing. We depend on our partners and sponsors, as well as parents, in making this mission a reality.
